Strong Prices on Minnesota Farm Auction Yesterday
March 04, 2017Continuing to see nice condition used farm equipment sell well at auction here into early March.
More proof yesterday around the country. This New Holland L555 skid steer with 1,211 hours (pictured below) sold for a new record high auction price of $10,000 on a farm retirement sale in northeast Ohio. The previous high auction sale price was $8,000 on a farm auction all the way back on 3/23/02 in southeast Pennsylvania.
Another strong auction yesterday (March 3, 2017) was in Belle Plaine, MN by my friends at Maring Auction Co. (http://www.maringauction.com). The lead tractor on the sale was the 2011 John Deere 9630T pictured below. It had 1,839 hours, 36-inch tracks and sold for $148,000.
Avg. Auction Price last year on John Deere 9630T Tractors = $117,760. Another strong seller yesterday on the Belle Plaine, MN farm auction was this Demco 850 grain cart for $25,000. Here's a pic:
$25,000 is the highest auction sale price I’ve seen in the U.S. in just over 3 ½ years on a Demco 850. Here’s a look at what Demco 850 grain carts have been selling for at auction:
