Filming Collector Auction Saturday in Indiana
June 05, 2019I know where I'll be Friday and Saturday.
At a "Pre Estate" auction for my good friend and farm equipment legend, Dennis Polk, in New Paris, IN. Dennis has traveled the country for years and amassed a simply amazingly deep collection of farm signs, memorabilia, literature, toys, pedal tractors, oil cans, clocks, calendars, plus so much more. His collection will go for absolute sale this Friday and Saturday, with Day 1 (Friday) set for: Toys, memorabilia, pedal tractors, wooden spring board wagon seats tons more.
Day 2 of the auction (Saturday) will feature 25 vintage Tractors for sale and over 300 farm signs. Polk Auction Company (http://www.polkauction.com) will handle the sale. Online bidding is available and has already been quite active on quite a number of Dennis's treasures.
Now, you might note above I said "Pre Estate Auction"....huh? Well, lots of folks know that the extended Polk family has incredibly deep roots in the farm equipment biz. Dennis had 2 brothers also in the farm equipment biz, with separate businesses, but unfortunately Dennis's youngest brother, Gary Polk, of Leesburg, IN, passed away April 15, 2019 at the young age of 57.
Dennis has also battled a health issue here this past year, but still strong. Just time to pass along the lifetime of farm treasures he's accumulated over the years....his "Pre Estate Auction".
