Dad's John Deere 4450 Tractor Comes Home

Finding and buying back Dad's tractor is a powerful thing.

You may associate those tractor tales with antique John Deere or Farmall A and B models. But these days, the story is shifting to finding and acquiring dad's tractor from the 1970's or 1980's. Such is the case with Gregory Dykshoorn of Odessa, NY, a faithful Machinery Pete TV show viewer (Thanks for watching Gregory!). I'll let Gregory pick up the story:

"I just bought back my dads old 4450 that he sold at auction 17 yrs ago. He bought it new in 85. I'm picking it up Saturday. We're all excited to have it back." Gregory's dad's is pictured above with his 1985 John Deere 4450 back when bought it.

"Dad got out of farming in 1999 due to low milk prices. I grew up in that tractor sitting on his lap and spreading manure, chopping, plowing and then I learned to drive it on my own. I was at a dealer buying parts when i found it. A guy had just traded it. I didn't need the tractor, but I couldn't resist having it back. So I bought it last week."

"We just took on another 300 acres so I'm sure dad (Ed Dykshoorn) will be getting plenty of time on his old tractor."

That sounds like a happy ending to me. If you are looking a John Deere 4450 Tractor, click on this link to view (33) 4450's For Sale today in our web site: https://www.machinerypete.com/tractors/100-174-hp/john-deere/4450
