2007 John Deere 8530 Tractor Sold High on Iowa Auction Yesterday
July 18, 2018Hot selling tractor yesterday on farm auction in Ireton, IA up in the northwest part of the state.
2007 John Deere 8530 with 2,823 hours, IVT, ILS, Green Star ready. "One of the cleanest 8530's you'll ever find." said Machinery Pete Twitter follower Nathan Van Gorp. "It started at $100,000 from an online bid and went up $50,000 in a matter of seconds."
It wound up selling for $172,500. Here's a picture of it:
$172,500 is the highest auction sale price on a John Deere 8530 tractor since December of 2014. The sale yesterday in Ireton, IA was by our friends at Zomer Auctioneering (http://vanzomrealtyauction.com/auction/).

The strong sale price at $172,500 simply a continuation of the trend I've been seeing since November 2017...strong buyer demand and folks willing to pay premium to acquire the best condition used farm equipment. Of course super condition, low hour tractors in the 10 plus year old age, no matter what color...RED HOT.

The rising cost of new continues to make the best condition used with a bit of age on it highly desirable to buyers, even in this tough ag economy...maybe fair to see particularly in this tough ag economy.
